Boston, MA’s Camp Blood emerged in 2019, challenging culture with a blisteringly raw sound that blurs the line between hip-hop, electronica, and punk music. Vocalist Shaka Dendy trades verses with producer Haasan Barclay over stunningly authentic and heavy instrumentals. “Fearless in tackling complex subjects” (Boston Magazine), Camp Blood participated in NPR Music’s Live Sessions series in order to contribute to the conversation about the Black Lives Matter protests, and recently partnered with boutique cassette label, Disposable America to support the fight against police brutality by raising money for Violence in Boston Inc. and The Massachusetts Bail Fund. Past performances include an immersive multimedia exhibition at the Institute of Contemporary Art, and a metal show featuring live wrestling at the legendary, but now shuttered Great Scott. 2021 will bring explosive, new material and performances from the multi-faceted duo.
