Vienna’s rock staple Can I Say combines the expressive power of post-punk, the atmosphere of heavy rock and the live energy of grunge. Dark sound, light chorus – with a flood of guitars. Their songs show influences from the likes of the Smashing Pumpkins, Fugazi, Violent Soho and The Cure. In 2016, their debut album "In Your Arms" was released on the Viennese indie label Electric Fire Records. After numerous shows in many Austrian cities as well as Germany, Croatia, the Czech Republic and Bosnia, Can I Say returned to the studio to capture that same raw live energy on a recording. The resulting new EP “Flood” released on October 9th, 2020 and is the purest Can I Say ever was. Dirty, honest, loud.
