Hailing from Belfast, Ireland, 18 year old Caolán Fitzsimons is a promising, aspiring musician. Currently the lead singer of <a href="spotify:artist:09FdRJbI1HTcVjBMIaAai1" data-name="AOA">AOA</a> and a member of <a href="spotify:artist:0XXy17vmOb7llP81HxE7Hn" data-name="The Shan Vans">The Shan Vans</a>, he is lending his hand to the future of the Belfast music scene. He began his musical journey at just 3 years old, when he had his first singing solo in pre-nursery school, and since then he hasn’t looked back. He takes inspiration from a widely varying selection of artists - from musical theatre soundtracks to hard rock and punk - most notably <a href="spotify:artist:3mIj9lX2MWuHmhNCA7LSCW" data-name="The 1975">The 1975</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:7oPftvlwr6VrsViSDV7fJY" data-name="Green Day">Green Day</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:14apS9tKI3K30GK92BNQUL" data-name="James Marriott">James Marriott</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:0epOFNiUfyON9EYx7Tpr6V" data-name="The Strokes">The Strokes</a>, and blends his various inspirations to create a unique, experimental project.
This side project is Caolán in his rawest, most authentic form. Working out of his home studio and every project being DIY, he brings a fresh, exciting take on the indie pop genre.
