Captain Kelso is the new project by Kaja Malena Håvik (Kalena, Goofy Geese) and Christian Franzén (Overcity, Vegard & Ivar band). After a meeting at the Øya Festival a few years ago, it became clear that Håvik and Franzén share a fondness for cowboy boots and moonshine, and especially for country music. When Kaja sent a demo song to Christian on a beautiful spring day, there was nothing left to do but to take the train from Oslo to create what is now their debut single ‘Highway Road’.
More country is in the making, and the duo will release their music starting from June 2024. Sweet niblets, dang flabbit and yeehaw!
