Captain Kill started out as an explosive duo in the basement of an abandoned office space in Hønefoss.
The recipe was fuzzbass, hard-hitting drums and an intense desire to play hard, riff-based rock n'roll for the people.
Much has happened since then, but the recipe is largely the same. Reidar Handstad was picked up on guitar in 2014 and gave the band even more kicks to blow off. And they have been doing ever since. The band has released several EPs, their last "Born In The Heavy" came in 2017. They have performed concerts all over Norway. Especially popular in the capital with concerts on Blå and John Dee. The first long-term player "Vanilla Gorilla» came out in 2014, bringing Captain Kill on the road as the only Norwegian band at the Woodrock Festival in Portugal and as support for Honninbarna and Razika.
Captain Kill is launching their second album "Monkey Metal Thunder", which is expected in 2019. The single "Monument" will be released in October with music video.
Norwegian rock's underground has been enjoying Captain Kill for half a decade already, both as a band in itself and as concert organizers. All the boys are deeply engaged and founders of the Engajam and Malstrøm festival, focusing on promoting Norwegian rock bands that do not usually headliner the biggest festivals. They are back with the new album "Off to the Circus" in 2025!
