Carey had been writing lyrics, stories, and poems since childhood, and is the author of his first book, Living Life With PASSION and Helping Others, published in late 2015; an embodiment of how he lives his life. This is evident in how Carey is constantly challenging himself physically, mentally, and emotionally.

Carey pursued his PASSION for music by collaborating with International Rap Artist, Kosha Dillz, in Hollywood and recorded his first "motivational" Rap song, "With Your Passion". This song is a collaboration of Carey's concept and lyrics with the talents of Kosha Dillz with a 90 bpm tempo resulting in a positive, motivational song that became the anthem for Carey's book and performances.

In 2015 Carey released six songs in a variety of genres, further pursing his desire to connect with the world, through music, emotion and inspiration. Carey wrote Always Love You for his daughter, Rachel, as a surprise for her wedding day for their Father-Daughter dance. Woman In My Life, is a tribute to Carey's wife, Diane, honoring their 30+ years of marriage and includes the vocals of Carey and Diane's son (Blake) and daughter (Rachel). Papa Pizza Hands, released in 2020 pays tribute to Carey's grandson Jeremy. Founded in the aftermath of tragedy, Carey’s latest song, birthed from the Oct. 7th tragedy, represents a profound reverence and love for Israel, to ignite Jewish pride globally; NOW! A Song for Peace.
