Carl Shorts is the sonic alter ego of an exceptional forward-thinking hard techno producer and composer. Known for delivering uncompromising, hard-hitting techno, his style is raw, relentless and industrial - forged in the underground and built for concrete walls, strobe lit floors and peak hour pressure.
Inspired by the grit of 90s European techno and the do it yourself ethics of modern underground movements, Shorts leads a new bread of hard techno artists. Drawing influence from the pulse of Berlins basements to the industrial echoes of Detroit, Shorts' productions are driven by pounding kick drums, relentless grooves and distorted rhythms and textures to create the hard-hitting sound that he is renowned for.
