Carlin is an indie folk pop singer/songwriter. He grew up by a dirt road out in the country near Wichita, Kansas. It was there he found a passion for guitar which ultimately led to him writing songs on it and coming up with lyrics. As a child, he was heavily exposed to Christian contemporary artists from the 90s. In his teens, he listened to a wide variety of music, from secular pop music to Elvis. All of this together helped shape the style he rolls with now. A blend of country, acoustic, and pop-rock.
