The Spanish language music world is exploding with music from Tumbado to Spanish Hip Hop to Banda and all points in between. Comes now Carlos Avila a Mexican Regional Latin singer-songwriter focused mostly on the Corridos genre. This genre is known for its guitar driven melodies and tuba and accordion. There is nothing like a Corridos in this world.


Carlos Avila sings from deep within his heart because he celebrates his Mexican roots musically every breath he takes. Born in Omak, WA and raised for a good part of his child hood in Nayarit, Mexico, Avila is as authentic as it gets for this genre.


Avila’s lyrics tell stories of Mexican true stories. His audience identifies because they live his stories every day. Avila’s song Que Corra Sangre tells the story about betrayal and the eye for an eye story that is so common in the streets of Mexico. But Avila is more lover than fighter using his Spanish poetry to evoke emotion rather than flatly see and say his way through the song. This is why he is amassing a large Chicano audience in the Pacific NW and beyond.
