A natural-born writer and performer, Nashville native Caroline Watkins has been honing her craft since a young age. The eldest of four siblings, entertaining came natural to Caroline. “I grew up in a house where there were always people around, and my family was always entertaining our friends. I loved it,” smiles Caroline. “So that’s something I try to do in my music - to make people feel like they’re just sitting in a living room full of friends.”
In high school, Watkins spent her after-school hours relentlessly performing at local songwriters rounds or in Nashville’s honky tonks with her band and co-writing as much as possible. Her persistence paid off: she landed her own round at the legendary Bluebird Café at the age of 16, and signed a worldwide publishing deal with Warner-Chappell Nashville the day before she graduated high school.
Caroline has spent the past few years touring, opening for country stars Brett Eldredge, Walker Hayes and the legendary Willie Nelson. Her music also recently made its silver screen debut in the 2018 romantic drama “Forever My Girl.”
In regards to her artistry, Watkins thrives on uncovering the unseen and shining a positive light on everyday situations.
“The number one thing I always strive for in my music is authenticity: what you see is what you get. That is what I strive for the most in my personal life, so naturally it’s what I strive for the most in my music as well.”
