Carpio

Carpio’s Music combines a unique blend of influences from different genres including the signature sounds of Motown records, roots reggae, and the easy-going acoustic style of Jack Johnson's music. Originally born in the Philippine Islands. He resonated and connected with the uplifting message of island reggae. Growing up in Los Angeles he then discovered the heavily intense, love driven soulful sounds of the likes of Otis Redding, Sam Cooke, The Temptations and many other soul and doo wop groups. His first single “Home” highly represents and captures that distinct sound. Being immersed in the surfing culture in Southern California he discovered Jack Johnsons mellow, beachy and acoustic style. His original song “Attention Please” holds a similar cadence. Currently residing in San Diego he is working with various producers and artists from Sully Band, Hirie, and Tribal Theory. Carpio presently is working on his EP from his album, “Trebled Melodies” and currently is represented by the Los Angeles based record label Open Hand Entertainment.
