Oderhohwo Josepth Efe, going by the moniker Carter Efe or Carterefe, is a Nigerian music artiste, comedian and content creator.
Born on 29th September 1995 into to the family of Mr/Mrs Efe in Ughelli Warri, Delta State; Carter Efe is known for tearing his shirt in videos. The 26-year-old started sharing videos on social media since 2018, but didn’t receive quality attention due to his limited fanbase.
Two years later (2020), he gained dominance in the country’s skit scene, after being featured in several comedy and dance videos with popular comedians and influencers.
In July 2022, him alongside singer-songwriter Berri-Tiga, put out a ‘Wizkid-inspired’ single titled ‘Machala’. Released under Neville Records, the Afrobeats/Amapiano piece, debuted at #14 on Billboard’s US Afrobeats Songs Chart. Since then, it has garnered over 10 million streams on all digital streaming platforms.
