Brooklyn, New York-based rapper Casanova started his career relatively late in life after spending time incarcerated for various crimes. Following a brief spell as a laborer on release from prison, he realized that music was the true path he wanted to pursue. Putting his criminal past behind him -- but using it as inspiration -- Casanova recorded his first single, "Don't Run." Released in June 2016, it quickly became a hit online, and Casanova inked a deal with <a href="spotify:artist:4jWzNq3sdzSpqn7BnzvIKn">Memphis Bleek</a>'s Warehouse Music. In 2017 he entered the studio to record new material, while a new remixed version of "Don't Run" appeared, featuring guest spots from <a href="spotify:artist:5pnbUBPifNnlusY8kTBivi">Jadakiss</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:1YfEcTuGvBQ8xSD1f53UnK">Busta Rhymes</a>, and <a href="spotify:artist:0YWxKQj2Go9CGHCp77UOyy">Fabolous</a>, to name but a few. After releasing his debut mixtape, Be Safe Tho, Casanova joined the Party Tour alongside <a href="spotify:artist:7bXgB6jMjp9ATFy66eO08Z">Chris Brown</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:3q7HBObVc0L8jNeTe5Gofh">50 Cent</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:6vXTefBL93Dj5IqAWq6OTv">French Montana</a>, and several others. His debut full-length, Commissary, appeared in the summer of 2018, and included the single "Down Bitch" featuring <a href="spotify:artist:31W5EY0aAly4Qieq6OFu6I">A Boogie wit Da Hoodie</a>.
