Casey Benedict first plunked the keys of her family’s hand-me-down upright piano at age 4. She's been playing ever since. Her debut album “Relic” explores the loss of innocence from multiple vantage points, stripping away the sugarcoated tropes of childhood fairytales to sift through the remnants. This album is groundbreaking in that Benedict recorded the original tracks in 2002, then waited 20+ years to collaborate with her singer/songwriter/producer daughter, Katie Zeeb, who remastered the final album. Katie is also featured on the album’s bonus track “Two Houses (Lakeshore Studio Version)", which brings four generations of women together under one sonic roof.
