Catbeats is a lo-fi chill-hop (nintendo-hop!?) project rooted in small machines and naive melody. Early recordings were made almost entirely on a Teenage Engineering OP-1, later layered with bass guitar once owned by Fugazi's Joe Lally. The sound drifts somewhere between Nintendo’s Animal Crossing, Air, and El Huervo... warm, nostalgic, and curious.
