During the early 00’s Lars Robin ruled the underground airwaves with the hit single Amplifier and played shows at festivals like Augustibuller and Hultsfredsfestivalen on the irregular, gaining a cult following in the skateboarding and file sharing community. The breakout hit Amplifier was so successful in fact, that it landed Lars in a legal dispute with Warner Brothers over the media giant illegally using the song in an animated Scooby Doo episode without paying or even acknowledging Lars Robin and his punk rock brilliance, evident to anybody.
Lars Robin now has a new band. It’s called CatCatcher and it’s here. Some claim to stay. Investing in new gear (a black Gibson SG standard and a Polytune tuning pedal) and new band members (Jonatan Holmberg from Svederna and Rov on drums, Mippe Åman from Bursting Veins on bass and Anton Annersand, mostly known from Bryan Adams backing band at his Skavlan TV-show appearance in 2018, on lead guitar) Lars Robin and CatCatcher are now ready to take on the larger Stockholm metropolitan area and then the world.
