Catherine Blight

UK artist Catherine Blight has an innate natural pull and connection to music. Growing up immersed in an emporium of musical influence, Blight would soak up the sounds that would rattle the walls of her childhood house, coming from her four older brothers, who were all in bands. At just eight years old, she’d dress up in Hannah Montana wigs, playing mini keyboards and ukuleles, demanding that she was a popstar. When she turned 15 she released her first single, despite the backlash of bullies and peers, refusing to be beholden to their negative words and has since never looked back.

With a fresh 2024 pop breeze, oozing in dance buildups and euphoric drops, Blight’s music is enriched with feminine energy and high frequency, feel-good melodies, carrying a subtle wash of melancholy as she touches on raw and honest experiences with vocals reminiscent of Dua Lipa, her dance-pop anthems draw on influences from the likes of Miley Cyrus, Selena Gomez and Mabel.

Having received national radio play from a selection of stations including the BBC, as well as recognition from a range of chart-topping artists and producers for her music, Catherine Blight is quickly becoming a powerful force to be reckoned with and one that we’ll be hearing a lot more from.
