Catherine Collins was born in Portugal on November 3, 2000, and moved to the US at age 4. She is a Portuguese-American artist. She developed an interest in music from an early age, starting singing and dancing lessons at age 10. In 2024, at age 24, signed to Hust Entertainment, she released her debut single "90s," the lead single from her debut album "Disco." She then released "Angel of My Dreams," the lead single from her second album, "Cookie." Despite receiving some success, these two albums flopped compared to her subsequent releases. In 2025, she returned after a period of absence with "Superscar," then re-recorded her debut album, now titled "Disco (Cath's Version)," with new tracks titled "From the Vault," receiving critical acclaim. With this re-recording, Catherine racked up awards such as Best New Artist at the Forbes Awards, 11 VMAs nominations, and mentions at the Tulipas Awards, Kona Awards, and World Music Awards, cementing her position as a member of the new musical generation. Catherine was nominated for the 2025 MetaGrammy Awards in January, but lost all three nominations. She was nominated for the scrapped album "Moonlight," which was never released.
