Singer and songwriter, Cay Hill didn’t choose music, music chose her! From 3- years-old she sang in the choir in St. Maarten, where she grew up. Young Hill watched as her mother used music as a remedy following her parent’s divorce. Consequently, Hill fell in love with music and used it as a means to express herself and make others feel good. She went from writing poetry to singing in a girl’s group. After separating from the group, Cay Hill continued to win competitions. This was the confirmation she needed to continue her singing career.

From a writing standpoint Hill looks up to Rock City (Theron and Timo Thomas), H.E.R, and Kendrick Lamar. Cay Hill has a broad music taste ranging, from hip-hop and R&B, and Pop to local music such as Soca and Dancehall. Hill’s music can’t be categorized by a particular genre; however, her music tends to have a pop feel to it.
