Ceci Mendez

Ceci Mendez is a singer-songwriter from the city of Buenos Aires. She is also a singing coach and she graduated in Social Communication. Her song Un certain flâneur, that belongs to her first album, CANCIONES FUGACES, was selected to represent Argentina at the 58th Viña del Mar International Song Festival, where she performed with her group. Her second album edited with songs of her authorship, PODER DECIR, was nominated for the Gardel Awards 2019 as best female folklore artist album.

 She participated in other festivals such as: the 44th Mono Nuñez Colombian Andean Music Festival in Ginebra, the Ciclo desde Dos Orillas 2017 in Valencia, Spain, the Tobago Jazz Experience 2012, in the Caribbean and the Pappary Jazzy Festival in Brazil. She gave concerts and workshops in New York City (Argentine Consulate), in Tulum (Batey), in the Canary Islands (Auditorio de Tenerife), in Bogotá, at the Escuela Superior de Música of Neuquén, in the city of Santa Fe ( Municipal Theater 1st of May and Progreso Market), Centenario and Comodoro Rivadavia.

Ceci hosted a show called Abrecaminos on Radio Tupac. She was part of the Bares Notables 2017 and 2019 program. The recordings of her recent albums were declared of cultural interest by the Government of Buenos Aires.
