Cedar House is an indie-folk trio born in the heart of Oklahoma. Just like their Friday nights, their music can find it’s home in a bar just as well as a living room. Bandmates Rachel and Jonny Hupp (<a href="spotify:artist:3qD6OwcrMny4RVU9CFv0Kh" data-name="Westerlight">Westerlight</a>), and Kelly Arndt began writing in a cramped, tiny music bedroom on an out-of-tune piano and acoustic guitars, with an appropriately cheap bottle of wine. Don't worry, they've stayed true to their roots.
Released in spring of 2018, Cedar House's Let You Down EP was the first of a two part project recorded in Norman, OK. Crafted in an unlikely shared office space and guitar pedal workshop in the middle of the city, their songs sound like the smell of bonfire, warm whiskey, and just a touch of southern charm. Their second EP release, the Lonesome River EP, is a further exploration of the trio’s broad sonic range.
At its core, Cedar House’s music is a heartfelt collaboration of songs that are both unassuming and deeply personal.
