Celebrate Africa is an Afro-pop and dance collective music expression of writers, worshippers and producers originating from Zimbabwe, Africa; lead by Tommy and Daniel Deuschle & Boden Dollie, with a team from different parts of the world. Their debut single “Makanaka” introduced their unique, pulsating fusion of trans-African choir, soaring melodies and a hard-hitting beat that’ll make you move. The repeated “Makanaka” chorus means You (God) are good, glorious, wonderful. The track easily pulls you in from the downbeat and it ends with a waterfall of beautiful colliding voices. The team released a follow on single "Home" just before the world went into lockdown, when the sense of home meant so much in so many different ways, and a message of family and belonging was something for all to cling to. These singles make up an ongoing collaborative EP project, releasing a unique sound in Africa, from Africa to the World.
One of Celebrate Africa’s goals is to write and produce songs that break down walls. Songs that carry the undeniable power of earthshaking joy, and unexplainable hope. Africa has a collective worship sound that will change the world. Drawing inspiration from the hustle, hardships and beauty of the continent, the writing and artistry carries the tension of both the "struggle" and "freedom" of life in Africa, and points to the One who gives true liberty.
