Celeigh Cardinal’s powerful voice and evocative storytelling have earned her widespread acclaim. Anchored by the luminous “Light of the Moon,” which won 2024 Songwriter of the Year at the Western Canadian Music Awards, the album received two JUNO nominations in 2025 (Adult Contemporary Album and Contemporary Indigenous Artist of the Year) and won Indigenous Songwriter of the Year at the Canadian Folk Music Awards.
Cardinal also performed during the In Memoriam tribute at the 2025 JUNO Gala, further solidifying her status as one of Canada’s most compelling performers. Her debut album earned Indigenous Artist of the Year at the 2018 Western Canadian Music Awards, and her sophomore release won a JUNO in 2020.
