"Cello Motive" is a musical/educational initiative born from the passion for self-taught production techniques created by Efrén A. Ruiz N. who is an independent Venezuelan Cellist, singer-songwriter, producer, videographer and multi-instrumentalist whose music bridges the classical and the contemporary.
He began his musical journey with “Los Jóvenes Cuatristas de Paraguaná” and went on to distinguish himself as a cellist in Venezuela’s renowned “El Sistema,” performing both in key symphony orchestras across the country’s interior and in projects ranging from symphonic rock to Hispano-American folk.
At UCLA he deepened his expertise on Cello Performance, composition, counterpoint and advanced harmony. Afterward, he spent two years in Africa and Asia training youth orchestras, where he marvelled at and absorbed fresh musical traditional sounds he now fuses into his own productions.
As a videographer and producer, he also created an original music piece "Medaase Pa" whose self-directed video won the Silver award in the “The Bicester Collection International Impact” category at the 2025 Charity Film Awards.
