Cellophane Sun is the alter ego of ATX based songwriter/singer Kyle Chapman. After having some successes as a guitarist for a multitude of indie bands, Kyle felt the need to create an outlet for his own solo material. The Covid-19 lockdown provided a unique opportunity to fully embody this vision.
Cellophane Sun draws heavily from retro influences while creating a sound that is modern and yet unheard. The music features jangling washed out guitars, heavy thumping bass lines, lush vocal harmonies, infectious hooks, and arrangements that take the listener on a journey through the world that is Cellophane Sun.
