CEMETERY GATES – founded in 2018 by songwriting duo Guitarist Mattias Fabricius and Vocalist Anton Sabah Ryberg. With a penchant for the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s metal scene with bands such as <a href="spotify:artist:5M52tdBnJaKSvOpJGz8mfZ" data-name="Black Sabbath">Black Sabbath</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:34c4iQ5tkaZKu6Sv28BTde" data-name="Danzig">Danzig</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:0blJzvevdXrp21YeI2vbco" data-name="Type O Negative">Type O Negative</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:5SwHKKNKYToC1YzWVNWAIN" data-name="Tiamat">Tiamat</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:2UOVgpgiNTC6KK0vSC77aD" data-name="Amorphis">Amorphis</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:14pVkFUHDL207LzLHtSA18" data-name="Pantera">Pantera</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:2ye2Wgw4gimLv2eAKyk1NB" data-name="Metallica">Metallica</a> and others, the bands sound bear the roots of retro heavy metal with a full hearted passion.

In February 2019, the bands first single release “<a href="spotify:track:5rWt233oL2iCC0poc3Npbb" data-name="Old Misfortune Blues">Old Misfortune Blues</a>” saw the light, soon to be followed by “<a href="spotify:track:6QoFdx0omfJ5q3FtGZxL8u" data-name="Till the End">Till the End</a>”, “<a href="spotify:track:7gYbRGLozmEDynTHyMV8zt" data-name="And What Should Not Be">And What Should Not Be</a>” and “<a href="spotify:track:78yizv5d6C8AeX0q3nR9fj" data-name="Hotel Albatross">Hotel Albatross</a>”. The first full length album “<a href="spotify:album:5MqKBsd3tnE04ExkUKkOrZ" data-name="Through the Shadows of Fear">Through the Shadows of Fear</a>” was released in August the same year.

In 2020 they joined forces with multi-genre bass player Jens Hogsander and recorded the single “<a href="spotify:track:3kaXGQCkX40tsCaGtl8SUK" data-name="Killing Life For Years">Killing Life For Years</a>” during the raging of the Corona-pandemic. The single was soon followed by the album “<a href="spotify:album:3FMcxzdWiHn1W42Yr56m0t" data-name="Chernobyl (Re-Recorded)">Chernobyl (Re-Recorded)</a>”, recorded in the band members respective homes during Christmas holidays 2020 and released in February 2021. The album has five songs on the theme of the tragic accident in Reactor 4 at the Chernobyl Nuclear Plant in the village of Pripyat in 1986.
