Chain Avenue was formed in the summer of 2025. After many years of playing music to huge crowds, Christian and Ben decided to strip things back to bare bones....and form a band which focused on producing quality power pop/rock.
These Southwest Aussie rockers had met many years earlier at the Whyalla Steelworks. Any spare moment they had, the two teenagers would scrounge together scraps of metal to create their own cowbells. Their percussive genius was renowned. Large crowds would gather on Whyalla street corners to hear these two maestros beating their cowbells.
Later, guitars were purchased from a travelling banjo player who wanted to see his instruments go to a good home.
The boys moved to the big smoke of Perth, Western Australia, where the legend slowly grew. Venues would overflow regularly if word got out that the duo were hitting the stage.
Though at first it was a thrill, eventually the accolades and adulation grew tiring. Ben and Christian decided to move, with their families, to the Southwest of Western Australia. Ben opened a music shop selling second hand lutes, whilst Christian became a music teacher specialising in drop-D tuning of the pan flute.
More recently Christian and Ben wanted a new challenge. They wanted to create musical masterpieces which would stand the test of time. With the help of Paul "Triplets" Moron on drums, and Chris Jester on bass the scene was set for musical perfection...........
And so........Chain Avenue was born.
