Forged in the crucible of Hollywood’s famously competitive club scene, Chaindriven has re-emerged with an eponymous debut album that deftly displays why they became the house band at the legendary Whisky A Go Go. The revered L.A. foursome has also opened for the likes of Lynyrd Skynyrd, LA Guns, Hank Williams Jr., Ratt, Love Hate and Godhead, as well as performing on The Vans Warped Tour and at prestigious venues including the 12,000-seat Soboba Casino Arena.
Propelled by the tastefully virtuosic playing of guitarist Dave Dzaich and the supple, impassioned pipes of frontman Mando Medina, Chaindriven captures a band equally adept at driving yet intelligent metal (“Go From Here”, “Dead To Me”) and more sensitive expressions (the acoustic/orchestral passages of “From The Dark”). The commonality throughout is robust songwriting and a commitment to true melody and timely lyrics, all laced with an Alice in Chains-y sense of menace and imaginative, state-of-the-art production. And Chaindriven are just as tight and dynamic on stage as in the studio, as they’ve proven time and again across California.
Formerly featured on the award-winning, syndicated KLOS Mark & Brian Show (on which they won a prominent “battle of the bands”), Chaindriven already has an album’s-worth of brand new material written and is ready to partner with an established record label to spread their premium-quality hard rock worldwide.
