Making colorful pop music from Norway 🎨
Cham Léon’s artistic project is driven by thorough storytelling, where nothing is left to chance. They have created a gender-neutral universe, an inclusive space, based on a whole range of different artistic expressions. Not only does they master the art of music, their stories are told through artwork, illustration, acting, design, styling, video, live – and the list goes on. They are an artistic talent in the broadest sense, ideas and visions always overflowing – pushing the idea of what music is and can be.
Sonically, Cham Léon navigates in the landscape of pop, with inspiration from genres such as electronica, jazz, R&B, film scores and classical music. They are not afraid to move into new directions – not in their music, lyrics or concepts. Their biggest inspirations are artists such as Labrinth, Sia and Billie Eilish and his visuals draw inspiration from the TV show Euphoria, amongst others.
For the past year, the Oslo based artist has been working closely with the Norwegian producer Henrik the Artist – learning to know each other and the Cham Léon sound and musical universe. The result of their efforts – an ambitious whole – will hit airwaves and streaming platforms soon.
