Often blending elements of ambient, post-rock, and neo-classical, Chamberfield is the project of California-based multi-instrumentalist J Miller. His studio palette consists of a piano, a vintage Rhodes, a slew of guitars and pedals, analogue synths, and occasional collaborations with string players.
After tinkering with unreleased writings and recordings for many years, Chamberfield released the debut album “Over Helvetia” in 2020, followed by the EP “Fathoms” in 2021, and “From This Hill” in 2022.
In 2023, three popular tracks from these works – “Departure”, “Desierta”, and “From This Hill” were selected for official Spotify playlists, while the tracks “Fathoms” and “Feels Like The Ocean” gained popularity in neo-classical and ambient post-rock playlists.
Chamberfield released an ambient post-rock 6-track EP titled “The Quiet Billion” in October of 2024.
