Chance Short is an emerging alternative artist known for blending dynamic, guitar-driven soundscapes with understated, emotionally resonant lyrics. His music moves fluidly between loud, distorted textures and softer, reflective moments, creating a style defined by contrast and intentionality.

Chance began his musical journey in 2024, first studying drums under Zech Boswell of the local band Better Think Twice before expanding into guitar and songwriting. His work draws from themes of mental health, personal growth, love, and narrative-driven storytelling, with each track built around its own distinct concept.

Writing primarily through a guitar-first approach, Chance develops songs by shaping riffs, finding vocal melodies, and refining lyrics until the meaning takes form. He has performed with the band Not Worth Asking, appearing at notable Pittsburgh DIY venues including 222 Ormsby and The Mr. Roboto Project.

Chance is currently preparing his next release, a concept-driven album centered on high school, graduation, and the transition into adulthood capturing the emotions of leaving one chapter behind while stepping into the next.
