Channel Eight began playing clubs, opening for bands Art Of Dying and GOB while fine tuning new material. They returned to the studio with producer Travis Saunders (Stutterfly) to record the 3 new tracks that would become their first E.P. entitled The Pilot.
The new songs showcased the band's attention to writing melodic hooks and infectious grooves.
Channel Eight found themselves in the Vancouver SEEDS radio contest top 20 with the song “Lights Out”
