Channon

When a natural ability to write with wit and intrigue is combined with a rapidly growing passion for all facets of hip hop, the result is a genre-bending, texture-driven, rap-singing, constantly changing artist called Channon. At 19 years old, many have cited hip hop / r&b legends such as @Earl Sweatshirt, @Frank Ocean, and @Rex Orange County when categorizing Channon’s voice, writing style, and delivery.

Parented by a retired spoken-word poet father and choir singing mother, Channon's abilities to write and perform seem to have blood origins. While Channon’s influences have changed dramatically over the years, he has found himself thriving in an alternative hip hop world taking major influence from artists such as @Isaiah Rashad, @André 3000, and the late @Mac Miller.
With the release of his first project @Thornhill Broome in 2019, Channon opened the eyes of many to his ability to make records in his own lane. Although this was Channon’s first work as a producer-- and the stripped, vocally-focused structure demonstrates this-- the concepts and lyrical content ensured Channon would be taken seriously in his future releases.

Nearly a year and over 200 beats later, Channon has found his niche, developed tremendously as a producer, and is prepared to continue opening doors. Throughout the remainder of 2020, Channon plans to release a new single every three weeks-- all of which experimental, and all of which promising.
