Chante

Chanté Carstens artistically known as Chanté is a performer, singer-songwriter and dancer from Cape Town. She is born and raised in the Helderberg Area, Garden Villiage, Somerset West. The fellow artist first found her passion for music through the art of dance, in her early days as a child when she participated in various activities within the art space at school.

Chante received a miraculous encounter with her favourite Artist at a Festival Concert in 2022. This allowed Chanté to find her sound and has since inspired her to release her debut track in 2023 titled, “Breathe” which then led to her 2nd single “My Time”. “My Time” has since picked up on TikTok garnering over 70K views on her profile. She is nominated for ‘Pop Artist of the Year’ at Basadi in Music Awards (2025) for her known Single “Stay the Night” which made it to No.1 on the SA HOT 5 Chart!

Chanté dropped her first project “Transparent" in June 2024 along with another Popular release titled “Slide” & much more - out now on all streaming platforms for your listening pleasure. What’s to come in 2025? Make room for Rarity “The Diamond Album” as she likes to define it, a rebrand, a new sound for Chanté ready to welcome in new listeners across the world. Chanté is set to release her debut Album “Rarity” out on the 29th August 2025!
