Chappell Kingsland is a pianist, organist, composer, arranger, and producer based in Denver, Colorado. His music thrives at the intersections between genres, drawing inspiration from great artists, composers and songwriters of rock, pop, classical, jazz, and world music.

Christmas Hygge (2018) was recorded in a whirlwind three days, blending spontaneous improvsation with written arrangements for one, two, and three pianos. Chappell’s live show Piano Christmas is given at several venues each year, including material from this album, lots of other holiday favorites, and requests from the audience.

The album Rock Piano Solos (2018) features Chappell’s virtuoso arrangements and electrifying performances of great songs by U2, Pearl Jam, Michael Jackson, Adele, Smashing Pumpkins, and more. Chappell’s solo piano concerts often include his mindblowing arrangements of complete albums (U2’s The Joshua Tree, Nirvana’s Nevermind, and the Beatles’ Sgt. Pepper).

Chappell is Executive Director and Arranger of the Wild Beautiful Orchestra; the group's debut was the Kashmir Concerto for piano and orchestra, based on songs of Led Zeppelin. Chappell is also arranger/guitarist for Celtic folk band Strings of Brigid. Chappell is a Professor of Music at the University of Denver and holds degrees from Indiana University and the Eastman School of Music.
