Charity Shop Vinyl are a 5 piece alt/indie-rock band formed in Derry in January 2018 and so far have recorded and released their first single ’Our Best Days’ and first EP ‘Waking up The Neighbours’, recorded at Blast Furnace by Rory Donaghy. They were released on to Spotify, iTunes, Apple music, Amazon Music and many other platforms to great success and have now been streamed thousands of times, as well as releasing a music video on YouTube for ‘Push Me Away’, a song which can be found on the EP.
The band have played multiple stages as part of Stendhal Festival, were approached to headline Derry’s Camp America Fundraiser, and have played alongside some recognisable names in the Northern Irish music scene, including Mosmo Strange, Meeks, Cherym, Villa in France, Happy Out and were personally asked by Castlerock band Brand New Friend and Belfast band Buffalo Bay to support them at shows promoting single and EP launches from the two bands.
Charity Shop Vinyl have been interviewed on-air and featured by BBC Electric Mainline, The Stephen McCauley Show, Drive 105.3, and Highland Radio.
Played in venues such as; The Nerve Centre – Derry, The Bowery Bar –Derry, Jacks Bar – Derry, The Collon Bar – Derry, Bennigans Jazz Bar – Derry, Sandinos Bar – Derry, The Delacroix – Derry, Derry – Jazz and Blues Festival, Stendhal Music Festival, Woolly Woodtown, Woodtown Stage, McHugh’s Bar – Belfast, The Speakeasy – Belfast.
