“CHARLES, it’s just me,” shares the singer when asked who CHARLES really is. She took this stage name from her maternal grandfather, whom she carries with her everywhere in this adventure.

With her first two projects, the EP Falling While Rising (2021) and album Until We Meet Again (2022), CHARLES develops stories and presents herself to her audience by drawing from her Anglo-Saxon influences, both in the fresh and alternative pop sounds from abroad and in her English lyrics, which are never afraid to directly tackle the subjects they embody. The themes she explores are always her own stories, or those of her close ones, which she experiences vicariously. Closely tied to reality, spontaneous and unfiltered, CHARLES handles her subjects with the raw and harsh words they require, without metaphor or elaborate turns of phrase. For her, singing about her struggles remains the only way to get rid of them. More driven by urgency than naive exploration, CHARLES approaches her music like a fiery, incendiary diary — and inevitably captivating to read.

She is back with a new project: "Sabotage", a title that reflects the feeling of having drawn and played the wrong cards over the years. It stands as a chaotic, formative, and tumultuous coming-of-age story, yet still points toward hope and the metamorphosis of CHARLES into a strong woman, shaped by the experiences and melodramas of her early twenties, who finally bursts her bubble to confront us, both in our faces and in our hearts.
