Mixing indie pop sound with soulful writing and an electronic influence, Brooklyn-based singer-songwriter Charlie Brennan is genre-bending. His unique catalog and versatility have earned him over 150 million streams globally.
A self-taught musician who has been writing since the age of 12, Charlie began releasing his own music in high school. One of his first singles <a href="spotify:track:1KehlyoPusUFHPxuw2YdNf" data-name="The Ocean">The Ocean</a> was featured in Pepsi’s World Emoji Day campaign.
In 2017 Charlie released his album <a href="spotify:album:2jLrWgtBMsN42nyd5A5EZY" data-name="The Last Time">The Last Time</a>. His singles <a href="spotify:album:4yzarQ6UpF2jLTMlQOVEsf" data-name="Let Me Be">Let Me Be</a> and <a href="spotify:album:5CERIsGdcE113i2n7sv5eZ" data-name="Cool">Cool</a> reached #11 and #39 on Spotify’s Viral 50 Chart respectively, while <a href="spotify:album:2RdYXwQPJCH7iJpYSH1QDS" data-name="Broken Cities">Broken Cities</a> was later featured in Paramount and Nickelodeon's "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem" movie. Shortly after the album, Charlie moved to New York City after graduating with a degree in psychology from Wake Forest University.
In New York, Charlie found his rhythm, playing sold-out shows at The Bowery Ballroom, Arlene’s Grocery, Pianos, and The Delancey.
In 2020 Charlie moved to Nashville, TN, and began writing songs for various artists while continuing to pursue his artist project. He released an EP <a href="spotify:album:7uExgOKKwUYidQ2yLfCqJi" data-name="The History of Everything We Went Through">The History of Everything We Went Through</a> in 2023 featuring <a href="spotify:track:7wznL6rwe0HOghRscd112n" data-name="May Flowers">May Flowers</a>, which was awarded first prize in the Folk/Americana category of the New England Songwriting Competition, and received an honorable mention in American Songwriter's 2022 Song Contest.
