Singer-songwriter Charlie Gabbard, born August 21, 1984, got his start in music at a young age, singing in his local church. In 2003, he entered a state vocal competition where he performed his original song and won in the vocal solo category. In 2004, he wrote his second original and entered the Indiana state vocal solo male competition, winning for the second consecutive year. This accomplishment provided him the opportunity to compete in a national competition hosted in the Spurs basketball dome in Texas. After this, his focus shifted to writing music.
Charlie has written for several artists along the way, including the Christian rock band Seventh Day Slumber, who featured one of the songs they co-wrote with him, titled "Still Breathing," on their record "Closer to Chaos." Now, Charlie has stepped away from writing for others and has embarked on his own journey, releasing his first country single titled "Small Town Country."
