Charlie Mezini

Charlie Mezini is a singer, pianist, and guitarist from the Greater New York area. Deriving from a background of years of classical piano training and performances at prestigious live venues such as Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center, Mezini got involved with rock music during high school when he met and co-founded several bands with guitarist Hunter Kino. He took on the role of vocalist - for little reason other than a lack of anyone else to take the role - and developed his singing abilities over the years by studying the vocal techniques of some of his favorite musical artists. His comprehensive experience and laser-like precision in classical piano-playing lended a significant helping hand to his ability to identify musical pitches and tonalities while singing. Heavily inspired by pop and rock icons of the 60's, 70's, and 80's such as Bryan Adams, John Lennon, and Jim Morrison, as well as contemporaries like Alex Turner and Josh Homme, Mezini blends his influences to create a powerful, soulful voice that defines his style and brings an electrifying personality to the music of the groups he works with. He plays rhythm guitar, keyboards, and bass for studio tracking sessions with his band The Vespids.
