Charlie Mtn. is the country/folk project of songwriter John-Allison Weiss, a longtime DIY trailblazer known for raw lyrics, road-worn melodies, and a voice that cuts through the noise.
After nearly two decades making heartfelt indie rock and pop anthems and sharing stages with icons like Lou Reed, Laura Jane Grace, and Letters to Cleo, Weiss is following a longtime pull back to their roots: country radio, dusty highways, and wide open skies.
Charlie Mtn. isn’t a pivot. It’s a return. These are story songs for loners and lovers, crafted on acoustic guitars in desert campsites and roadside motels, with one boot in the past and the other kicking forward.
