Charlie Richardson & Jackalope

Charlie Richardson has spent more than a Jackalope’s lifetime as a guitarist-singer-songwriter. Fortunately for him, most of that happened in the second half of his lifetime, sparing him, both, the rocketing celebrity that a few, and the crushing poverty that most working musicians endure in their careers. Sincere props to them. Nevertheless, being a late-bloomer beats the alternative, and in the middle of a decade-long creative songwriting spree, Charlie founded Jackalope, an eager trio of talented musician buddies sharing his dream of playing eclectic country-jazzy-bluesy-folky-swingy story songs (Rhythm and Twang) with surprisingly well-written lyrics. In 2014, Jackalope released I Herd Songs, their one-and-only album CD, and thereafter devoted their musical odyssey to playing live and churning out quality original singles for download and streaming. Jackalope lives on in Lansing, Michigan, for the love of a good song, tips, pizza and beer.
