Usually associated with the doom/gothic metal niches by followers and reviewers, CHARM DESIGNER was created in Bogotá in 2002 with the idea of generating music not purely based on the musical language itself, but through their own codes and interpretations.
Their most recent album Everlasting was produced and engineered by the acclaimed German producer Waldemar Sorychta (Lacuna Coil, Samael, Moonspell, Tiamat, etc.), being the first time ever for him to produce a band from outside of Europe.
Everlasting was released on Feb. 19, 2016 by Finnish label Inverse Records and has been highly valued by critics around the world in numerous reviews, with great coverage in websites/zines and web stations internationally.
The band has hit the stage for well acknowledged national events, such as Manizales Grita Rock festival on 2016 (one of the biggest rock festivals in Colombia nowadays). They've also been invited to headline the Cali Gothic festival (the biggest national festival in support of this genre) twice and shared stage with bands like Arcturus, Amorphis, Sólstafir and The 69 Eyes.
During November of 2018 the band went on their first European tour which had them playing nine headlining shows through five countries for the first leg through mostly Eastern Europe, so they were able to hit the stage in Croatia, Slovenia, Romania, Hungary and Bulgaria just before heading north-west to headline 4 dates in The Netherlands and Belgium for the second leg of the tour.
