The Glaswegian duo Chaser came from the appreciation for the U.K. club scene, the rising acid house taking over during the late '80s and early '90s. Lars Sandberg and Nigel Hayes were already gurus in their own select dance circuits, playing mainstay gigs across Europe, but under the Chaser moniker, they exuded a powerful presence with the jazz-tinged singles "Side of Iron" and "Life in Loisaida." And while balancing individual projects and production credits, Sandberg and Hayes issued their debut Game On in early 1999. It was widely received, especially praised by the likes of Gilles Peterson and Laurent Garnier. Hayes released the solo effort But Is Art in mid-2000; Sandberg followed a year later with Dos. ~ MacKenzie Wilson, Rovi
