Hailing from Charlotte, North Carolina, McRay Granelli has been immersed in music his whole life. With classical training at a young age in voice, piano, and guitar, the transition to producing was only natural. The dawn of the Chasewater project came when Granelli began DJing for his fraternity and other greek life organizations in college. By ensnaring the UNCW crowds with his high-energy stage presence, remarkable crowd control, and memorable DJing talent, he secured residencies and began headlining shows at the biggest college clubs, events, and festivals in his town, eventually expanding to other states in the region.
Chasewater has since released an original single and a remix, amassing over 50k plays across all streaming services, and earning the support of Crankdat and many other esteemed artists. Making a point of showing diversity in his production, Granelli’s discography spans from euphoric melodic bass, to catchy and contagious house/pop, all the way to neck-breaking tearout dubstep. His live sets feature cutting-edge production and creative remixes, infused with all the most beloved sing-alongs to keep his audience screaming and dancing along. Invoking both emotion and movement, the Chasewater experience always features his entirely original, ever-growing collection of unreleased missiles you can’t hear anywhere else. Don’t forget the name, you’ll be hearing it soon...
