New York bred singer/songwriter Chasity is a walking contradiction when it comes to her music. Her sound is a crossroads of playful electronic-funk dance tracks celebrating the little moments in life intertwined with stripped down powerful soulful vocals expressing the ethereal complexities of her growth as a woman in today's world. It's almost as if she's two different people. Her extroverted outer shell is a testament to her Bronx/Yonkers roots, while inside, Chasity's struggles with relationships, identity, and confidence become apparent in her music. This mix leads to a sound that anybody can find themselves within. Born Chasity Marcano and raised on her Puerto Rican roots, much of her influences come from the New York-Latina legends that have preceded her such as Mariah Carey, Christina Aguilera, and Jennifer Lopez. She has never had any classical training in music. She's never recorded a song prior to 2018. She's just a normal girl. All she has is her voice and the notebook that she writes her songs in. Yet, somehow, that is exactly what makes Chasity so intriguing.
