Cheever is an Alt Rock band formed by high school friends Jael Vasquez (vocals and guitar), David Barnhart (bass), and Chris Reardon (drums) in the summer of 2022. The band took its name Cheever from the street where they practiced and hosted early concerts. Jael’s older brother, Oscar Vasquez (guitar), joined the band to complete the lineup in the fall of 2023. Cheever played venues in the Boston area leading up to the 2025 release of their first single “Plans”, on which they were joined by guest vocalist Keira Brozgal.
