From the soul state of Louisiana, singer/songwriter Chelsea Chaisson is one to look out for. With her raspy voice and southern jazz influences, she creates music that embodies her culture as well as her heart.
Chelsea is gifted not only as a vocalist but as a pianist and guitarist. Her parents, both multi-instrumentalists, began a band when she was just two years old. Ever since, she grew up comfortably in the music scene, picked up different instruments, and fell in love with the music lifestyle.
In an interview about why she creates music, Chelsea quotes, “My intent as an artist is to build others up by relating and expressing personal struggles and life situations. I hope, through my music, to positively affect my listeners to live the fearless lives they were meant to live.”
