Cherell Terri (Born Ashley Cherell Jones),
Is an American Singer/Rapper/Songwriter born in Florence, Alabama. Cherell fell in love with music at the early age of 8, and began singing in school
musicals and plays. It was when her parents over heard her singing "Fantasy" by
Mariah Carey, that they knew she had a real talent. At 11 years old, Cherell’s family moved to Pittsburg, California located in The Bay Area during the height of the ‘Hyphy Movement’. She then developed her voice, finding her way in the unique music industry of the Bay Area. When she joined the STMBC youth choir. Cherell excelled in writing music as well. She went on to win numerous contests for her writing, and poetry. It was at the age of 17 that Cherell compiled her experiences into her first recorded song. Since then, Cherell has been apart of the Bay Area Hiphop music scene, and quickly grew a list of collaborations. She has worked with musicians such as Sammy Ghostt, Roblo, Paul Wall, Turf Cash, Kali Kash, Breadleonlx, Madam T, Chris Cash, E Da Singer and more. She has now expanded her talents to the LA and Atlanta working with legends like Mc Eiht, MyGuyMars, Focus 3 Dots, Dae One, Mickey Factz, Jr Swiftz, Mtech Music and others. Cherell heavily involved in the music community and has curated The FSC writing retreat that focuses on the mental, financial and creative wellness of musicians. Cherell is releasing her second EP called Pop Sh*t July 18th, 2025.
