This Cape Town based Indie Rock band started out in June 2008, premiering onstage at the V&A Waterfront shortly following their establishment - their first album, Busking Cape Town, launched in 2015.
In 2020 they launched “Simunye” and in 2021 “Lights” the newest song to hit all streaming platforms.
Cherry Vynil performs regularly at many hotspots - Mojo Market in Sea Point, Jack Black Breweries, Kapstadt Brauhaus, Aces & Spades, Jackson Hall at Grand West Casino and Snowflake in Potchefstroom.
The band has shared the stage with South Africa’s much-loved bands Freshly Ground and Prime Circle as well as International Legend Xavier Rudd.
